Lectures feel longer when the sun is pouring in through the window. I keep glancing outside and seeing the heat shimmer over the pavement, while it's so cool and still in here. Makes me want to be out there, even just for a second, letting the warmth hit my skin.
There's a weird comfort in knowing the day is happening outside while I'm here, listening and taking notes. Like the world is humming along without me, and that's okay.
